To Know Christ...
...And To Make Him Known
Bloomer Baptist Church
Meet Jesus as He was described by Luke, the physician and companion of Paul. Luke introduces us to this Man, this God, this miracle-working Servant. He carefully compiled the accounts, checked with the witnesses, and told a story unlike any other. Luke was convinced of the claims of Jesus and devoted his life to spreading the gospel of grace, forgiveness, and power in Christ. Are you? Come and meet with Jesus in this sermon series.
The prophet Isaiah wrote over 700 years before the birth of Christ, yet his book talks a great deal about the coming Messiah. As we prepare for Christmas, we look back as the Jewish people prepared for the first coming of Christ. Isaiah wrote about more than just the coming of Christ though. He talked about the greatness of the Father, grace, the Holy Spirit, and more. This series isn't just a Christmas series, but a big picture of our great, glorious, and Triune God!
Occasionally we have special speakers here at Bloomer Baptist. These might be deacons, missionaries, or other members of the congregation. These messages do not always fit into a sermon series, but the updates of God working in a foreign land, or insight provided by another follower of Christ can be invaluable to our spiritual walk. Paul's letter to the church at Ephesus could be summed up in one of two ways: There is a strong theme of warfare - especially in the latter half of the letter, with admonitions to "put off" sin and "put on" the new life that believers have in Christ. There is also a theme of the Church. Paul writes about the glory of Christ as the Head of the Church, and speaks to believers throughout his letter. Even his messages of spiritual warfare are encouragements and exhortations to believers. Click here for a detailed, verse-by-verse study of this important book of the Bible from Pastor Eldon.
"For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart." - Hebrews 4:12
